Tires sizes on my wheels ???'s

I am thinking about buying some American Racing Chrome torque thrust wheels size 17 x 8 for backs and 17 x 7 for the fronts will 215 50 17 tires be good all the way around going on a 1979 Malibu stock suspension?THANKS

I'd recommend 17x8 all the way around and use a 245/45/17 and you can still rotate them. I've used that size on the front before and up to 17x9 with a 275/45 on the rear.

Wraith, what back spacing did you use? do you have pictures?

I used Wheel Vintiques chrome rallyes, 17x8 with 4" backspacing and 17x9 with 5" backspacing. It's possible I used a 40 series tire in the rear, looking for receipts now.
