Need peoples opinions I have a 85 monte carlo v6 since I was 16, I have a 383 stroker 9”ford rear axle 350 turbo trans all ready to be put in but it has a cracked winshield , Excellent interior , chassi looks a bit rusty, needs front bumper, body is excellent driver side door is dented in the bottom, passenger fender has bondo and dented, hood is great 4” cowl, and needs to be painted from the fenders to the front. Now my question is should I invest on takeing the car apart and painting the frame in a shop and the body aswell, fixing the winshield and get a new fender or should I just buy another monte carlo with income tax and save some cash to get a nice monte carlo ss? Andy input would be nice thanks. :blam:

Do you have picture's? If its just a fender swap and a crack windshild, and door I would just fix it myself, but its all in what you want to do!

Well what are you really asking? Is it saveable? From what it sounds, I would say it is saveable. Pictures would help to say for sure, but for the most part, sounds saveable.

Or are you asking is it worth saving? That's for you to decide based on your monetary situation, and whatever other factors that might apply.

post pictures so we can see. I have a cutlass that needs floor, 1/4s, frame, and trunk floor/hood. rockers and who knows what else but I still plan to put the money into it because it was first car even if it costs me close to 6g just to get it road ready so as long has you have the patience and money it will be savable

ya im with evrybody else aswell. i mean like they said, there's other factors that are on u. if u wanna put YOUR time and YOUR money in it then its cool. its your car. i almost bought a MC before my regal, he wanted 2k for it and it needed alot of rear end work body wise due to rust. and the floor was basically gone. now to me i didnt think 2k was a good price. i offered 800 he said no so i left. what im saying is, is that if u wanna keep the car, then y not fix it if thats what u wana do
