You must be a big dude. Do you have power / reclining seats? I'm 6'5 and don't have an issue in the Olds but my buckets have reclining backs and 6 way power adjustable seat tracks. Tilting back and adjusting the recline should help. You can add power and reclining hinges to standard buckets.

i'm 6'6 and i have reclining seats buckets and i have leg room its just i dont have head room and it seems that the mcss seat bracket sit to high and i thought about buy some corvette seat brackets and seat to see if that would work i hate to spend $700 just to fit in my own car

My suggestion would be to either use your original seat mounting track, or purchase another G body bucket seat track (they are offered for sale in the classifieds on this site, or you could source one locally), then find a competant welding/fabricating shop, and get the seat track modified to lower your seat height. I'm not as tall as you (only 6'2") but I understand your situation, the seats are mounted fairly high in these cars. Good luck. 😀

Or do what I did sell your car and find one with TTops for extra head clearence... lol the joy of being 6,5

well i guess i'm going to sell my car to my dad and find me an oldsmobile cause i had one in high school with bench seat and fit great but there's a guy selling a clone hurst olds but he has buckets in the olds and does the oldsmobile buckets sit lower than the monte carlo ss? thanks everyone for the info this site i really awsome!!

Even though I don't have factory buckets I did use a pair of GM G-body power seat units so I could adjust both seats the way I wanted to.
I think these tracks can still be found at a reasonable price.

If it wasn't stated clearly in the earlier posts, the power seat track will lower the entire seat. If your buckets already recline, this may be all you need to get the head room you're looking for.
