does anyone knows how to wire a toggle switch to tcc solenoid?

I have the hot wire to the plug and switch but nothing happens.

I did a toggle switch on a 200-4r awhile ago.

As I remember I put 12V to the soleniod, then took the ground wire coming from the solenoid and added the ground side toggle switch, then to an under-dash ground

you need to be aware of pressure switches in the valve body too. not too sure if one of those is in the circuit as well.

If you have 3 wires from the trans in a white 4 pin plug, do you have purple, tan/blk, and green/white? If so, the purple should be power from brake switch, tan/blk is ground from ECU, grn/wht is 4th gear select. The purple wire should show 12v+ with ign on and no brake. This wire should go dead with brake pushed. The tan/blk also goes to the ALDL, you can ground this wire to activate the TCC.

Look for the pink/black stripe wire on switch connected to brake pedal. That is power. On the other side there may be originaly a purple wire that should run to the trans. The trans should have a 4 pin connector. Run power [12v] from brake switch [ if no purple wire] to top left pin on trans. Run wire from top right [this becomes a ground when the trans shifter is in 4th gear and car is moving about 40 mph] to bottom left to complete ground and lock up should work. You may install a switch in this loop if you want to unlock tq.

What if it doesn't go dead when the brake is pressed, and the brake pedal switch was tested and is good?

You will just have to flip off the TCC when you are slowing down. Normally the brake switch would do that until the trans comes out of fourth gear, but you will have to manually. What do your wires look like?

I dont have a switch installed, everything is stock in my car. my wiring is all stock. its a 1986 monte carlo base v8 305 w 200r -I just recently noticed that my tcc wont disengage when i press my brake. I was wondering why it doesn't work like it should, it did a while back, it would disengage when i tapped the brake cruising down the highway, now it doesn't. Id like to fix it right without having to flip a switch but i don't know what the problem is. What should i do to fix the problem? I tested the switch on the pedal and it works, it just doesn't kick it down.

It sounds like the TCC solenoid is stuck in the locked up position. I've seen this quite a few times. New ones are around $20-30. It's an easy fix.
