I got to get a g body that won't run. My problem is that I need to rent a uhaul trailer not a dolly to get it. I need some ideas on how to get the car on the trailer. Not sure it can be pushed. Any way to right a winch? Any ideas? Got to travel 600 miles round trip.

Thanks in advance

Sure you can push it, you just need a few friends to help!

I've used a come-along before, although it takes a while. I've had to push too.

You gettin a new project?

Thinkin about it. I've found out that if you can't do a lot of stuff it's pretty frustrating. I'm contemplating taking on a 442. I've been looking for one that is in decent shape this one isn't but it's something to work with. Come along would be my best bet probably. My el camino is still on a lift a my buddies place where it should of had a rear end about 4 months ago. I guess that worked out for the best since I finally found a 8.5 out of a grand national to use. I haven't forgot about the polishing I just can't get to it and i've kinda stopped going over there it just makes me mad.

It's an 85. I've been several hundred miles as late looking. I was really set on getting an 87 442. The ones that I've went to check on turned out to be quite a bit worse than the owner told me. This one has the usual rust on the doors and rear quarters. It hasn't ran in about 8 years but will turn over. I'm still kicking it around. I still would be better off getting something decent if I could find one at the right price.
Thanks,
Billa

What are you looking for? A 442 or ???? Where are you located? I always know where there are G Bodys for sale up around here and there almost always cheap and clean

seems like this is not exactly the car you want, personally i think you should wait and find exactly what you want so then you will be happy when you have it, as per getting the car on a trailer, get a friend 🙂
