Transmission driveshaft

Hello,

I have a 5.3 ls with a 700r in a 1983 cutlass. I want to install a 400 chevy transmission what would I need to do to make the swap? Anybody got any part numbers or suggestions I need some help. Also I know that I will have to change out the driveshaft. Anybody can tell me where I can get a new one and what I need to do to measure for a new one?

depending on what flexplate your engine has, maybe an adapter for the torque converter just check the bolt pattern on your 5.3 flexplate to make sure your converter will work. you will also need to get a TH400 yoke and maybe a driveshaft made, depending on your power levels. after installation, just measure your length that your car needs
