tucking the wheels and lowering??

i am new to the gbody world.. just got this solid 78 camino from my boss for 600 bucks.. runs and drives great.350/auto.. for some reason... everything i own must be all black and lowered... so im wondering what size of tire i can tuck in the front and rear..i dont need the biggest tire i can fit...just what i can comfortably fit..i would like to go as low as i can with the car without modifying anything other than the springs... and another question is..were the caminos badged if they were a ss in 78.. if not how do i decode this car and where is the code for it? i apperciate any help..

16x7 w/225/45/16 Falken Ziex up front 4" B.S. And out back 17x8 w/275/40/17's

I have 16x8 245's in the front and 17x9.5 275's in the rear I have it lowered 3 in the front and 1 in the rear. I'm hoping to lower the rear even more one of these days.
