Alright so on my tv cable i can press the adjustment button and it will pull forward some then i will push the slider back and then release the button and then i go to move the throttle to WOT and I dont hear any clicking. from what i have read im supposed to hear it click so my question is, is my TV cable worn out or is it not a big deal and ill be fine?

Well I'd assume that means that either A: the cable has already been pulled to where it needs to be and will no longer click. Or B: if you have an aftermarket carb on there, it might not be traveling far enough and you need to move the mount for the cable back farther so it can actually get pulled tight enough to click. I recently switched to a Holley carb. I had to get a bracket to go on the carb to correct the actual travel of the TV cable, and I also needed an aftermarket throttle+TV cable mounting bracket so I could move everything back farther and reduce the amount of slack in the cables.
Anyway, I'm pretty sure the "click" noise just comes from the slider and isn't that important as long as your trans is still shifting correctly. From my experience with it (slightly limited as I am young) if the trans is shifting too late at partial throttle and way too early at WOT, then the cable needs to be tighter.
