Judging by the rubber cracking in the tread recesses it looks like the tire's been around the block a few times.
Did it let go suddenly, at speed??

I noticed some minor dry rot cracking in May, and figured Id burn them off before putting new sneakers on it... I was just putting around town and it let go at maybe 15mph...
