upper door panels for grand national - any other g body cars use the same?

Do any of the other regals or other G body cars use the same upper door panels as the grand national?

looks exactly like my '86 El Camino to me, same color even. only difference is the pull trap trim that runs the length of the door

Thats good to hear. I feel when you go looking for GN specific parts, they charge a premium for them when there are times that certain parts are interchangeable like these upper door cards.

well, not QUITE identical, but pretty close

The Grand National door panels are unique to the Grand National. 85-87 is the same. 84 is a different color. The cloth and the embossed pattern are even different from regular Regals of the same year. Other G body panels will interchange but are not the same.

OK thank you for that information. From the photos the charcoal or silver upper door panels from other regals looked very similar but I guess not. So many options listed on Rock Auto's website too. Obviously they aren't vinyl, but I wonder which if any of these are the correct match?

I wouldn't be buying upholstery from Rock Auto. I would look at Highway Stars or G Body parts. Both specialize in G body Buick restoration and reproduction parts.
