Going through my parts to see what extra stuff I have & saw the stock manifolds with my Hedman Elites. Knowing the pros & cons with headers, just wonder if I should still use them or use manifolds. I know the stock ones suck, but getting them extrude honed or use the older style. Then the idea of '67-'72 truck ram horns if they can fit. I got some time before I have to put that stuff together but it could be the winter project. The car will be a cruiser so getting high horse power or torque is not a worry. Just need an idea to keep the budget in check.

Ram's horn manifolds dump right into the crossmember on a G-body. If you're going with manifolds, go for a set of 70's truck or car 3-bolt flange manifolds, preferably with the bigger 2-1/2" outlets. Pypes and Summit make down pipes that will bolt to the 3-bolt flanges. Stock Gs came with smoggy 2-bolt flanges.

Figure out what the headers came from (or better, a part number), and cross-reference on Summit to see if they also fit a G.

My Hedmans are the 68318 HTC, got the to replace the 68310 set that rusted away. The thoughts on the '67-'72 truck ram horns are because they dump out on an angle to the rear. I know that the 3-bolt flange manifolds would be easier to work with. Just remembering the fun putting the last set of Hedmans on makes me wonder if it would be worth it just to replace them years down the road. With the planned motor to be under 300 h.p., it shouldn't matter which way to go.
