Just bolt them on as is. For some reason, Olds decided to get rid of 5 bolt holes in the newer engines. All the holes will be in the same spot though, so it will bolt on fine.
 
ok i figured that. but what about the extra holes. will oil come out of them. have anybody else tried this. some pics would help. thanks

The gasket should seal the holes, or use some silicone if you're worried.
 
Those are the same ones I will be running.

Mystery solved, We were trying to figure out why we were short a few valve cover bolts :lol: I took the bolts off a '77 olds 260 and my engine is a '73. :lol:
