What's up guys. So if you haven't read my newb post in new members I recent got in a bad motorcycle accident and am at home recovering. With that being said I've been doing all the research and planning I can before I hack into the 83 Cutlass. I was searching YouTube and screenshotted this off of a video and wanted to know what you guys thought. Most complaints about double din in stock location is its too low and a pain to use touch screen. Well this might be a solution and I'm heavily considering this and turning empty space into a bank of toggle switches.

It appears to be just a screen but similar in size to a double din. As long as the cuts in the dash are clean and square and there's enough depth I feel like this would be a fees able option.

Been wrestling with the same question wrt my '79 Aeroback. I plan to dump the factory HVAC, and go with a generic system with relay-based switching and thermostatic temp control, was figuring I could put it in the upper panel, then use the lower space for a double DIN touchscreen receiver, but that is intriguing.
