there is always "air" coming out of the bottom vent on the floor on my 86 monte.it only comes out while im moving so its not being blown by the blower motor.in the winter it comes out cold like the outside air and in the summer its hot like the outside and the eng compartment.this has been driving me nuts the past few years trying to figure out.ive replaced the vac lines going into the car, the whole heat and air control with a known good one ,the boomerang thing and the blend cable.all seem to be working properly.
at anytime while im driving i can put my hand near the vent on the floor and air is coming out.
the only thing im thinking it might possibly be now is the 4 inch cowl hood i put on a few yrs ago.the rear vents are open and im thinking that maybe air is being forced through a spot that it normally wouldnt. does this make sense?
also , when i put the air on max most of the air comes out of the bottom vent on the floor.what i have been doing is stuffing a rag in it so it has to come out of the dash vents.does sound like a vac door is not operating properly?
