Application? Year, model? That always helps. Not all G-body parts are the same.

It's called a rotary select switch, but different part numbers for different cars.

From the looks of it, you either got a Malibu or Monte with a SBC. So I'm going to take an educated guess.

Luckily, it's the same p/n as an Olds Cutlass. GM p/n 16001570. AC Delco #15-7004. Colors could be black or brown like yours. Works the same.

GM still sells them for $59.74 list price.

Check ebay. You can get them for around 25-30-ish bucks.

Here's one. $24.31 plus tax, unless you make him an offer he can't refuse.

Is there a source for the small white ‘clip’ that holds this piece together? I notice most of the pieces online do not show this piece.

Thanks in advance.

In a word- NO. Piece is not sold separate.

Does it need the little white peice?
I think it helps to hold it together technically.

When I rebuilt the selector by cleaning it and putting new grease inside so it worked like new my clip broke.

I got another unit complete from the junkyard and was able to salvage the clip to use in mine.

The white pin holds the sandwiched pieces together. It's basically a pronged clip with a flat side to it. Pushes in. You should be able to see the little clips from the rectangle hole opposite the disc. The pin could be black if it's a black switch. It's white on the brown ones. Color doesn't matter as long as it is the same part number.

The rubber vacuum disc port switches also use these little pin setups as well to hold stuff together. Some people have used small screw and nut assemblies to hold the stuff together.

82-88 Monte Carlo uses the same rotary select switch part number mentioned above. 16001570.

AFAIK, nobody has the little pin clips separate.
