Alright, all four of the doors on my wagon are rusted pretty bad on the bottom. A couple months ago I found four pristine doors on a 83 four door non wagon. I had read some place that the wagon and four door front and rear doors were the same so for $15. each I had to get them. Then I read here that the rear doors are different. They look close but they are definitely different. So I carefully disassembled one of the rear junkyard doors, found and drilled out all the spot welds and couple welds under the outside sweep. I cut the seam sealer joint with a small chisel and the upper window frame came off. I did the same with one of my rusty rears then I put the junkyard rear door bottom on the car, lined up all the body lines, and the latch. Then I slid the wagon upper window frame into the junkyard door, got all the upper gaps the way I want them, had my wife help hold everything in place until a put a couple good tack welds on it, checked the fit and gaps again, then welded it solid. The complete process for one door took about 3 hours but I'm very slow. Now my problem is finding all four out window scrapers or sweeps. Any one know a good supplier?
