I'm wanting to trade my 79 2dr off for a wagon And keep my 78 2dr.

1979 Malibu 2 door sport coupe
Low: $825
Average: $2000
High $2725

Four door sedan prices for '79 are the same as 2 door coupe.

1979 Malibu 4 door station wagon

Low: $1550
Average: $3075
High: $4425

Apples to apples, the wagons fetch considerably more $. They are also a lot harder to find in good condition.
