Wagon Tailgate question

So this is not my pic, i borrowed it from a fellow member, hope he doesn't mind. But i want to know what this wire/harness goes to into the tailgate? At first i was thinking a automatic unlock or 3rd brake light but i dont have any of those. What is this (circled in yellow)?

Hahaha! I didn't even think about that. I feel dumb now, ill blame it on the booze and early morning lol.

How would you know if you have an auto lock popper?

Should be a button in the glovebox and a mechanism inside the tailgate - just like power door locks.

The wiring for the rear hatch popper is not equipped unless you have the button and electric popper. I had to run a lead from the glove box back and also added a button in the glove box.
Oh, and my car was not equipped with the electric popper, I added it.
