Well, i am wanting to up the power of my 406. I don't want to have to change (again)out the rotating assembly at all. I will however change out the cam. I have been contimplating the idea of a Solid Roller cam. I have a Hydraulic Roller now in it. It is a Trick Flow (TFS-31402002) .246/.254 duration at .050 and .558/.558 lift with 1.5 rockers. ad a 112 deg seperation. I was thinking of going bigger up to somewhere close to .600 on the solid cam. I know that the solid would make better numbers for the motor and it is mostly for the track anyways. I also wondered if i was to keep the current cam and just change out the rocker arms to a 1.6 ratio and just kind of trick the cam into thinking it is bigger than what it is really.

I have a set of the Trick Flow heads that are 64cc chambers and 195cc intake runners with 1.46 valve springs. I have a Victor Jr and a 750 Speed Demon on it. It is running 10.5 compression and makes good numbers. It has chasiss dynoed at 439 hp and 437 trq. I know is pretty good but i want to squeeze the most out of it with what i have now and get better low end number in the sixty and drop my times in the 1/4. I run a best of 11.96 at 115 and a 1.75 sixty with a 3.73 gear and a 3400 converter. I have a NOS Cheater System for it but want to wait to use it till i have exhausted all other means by motor with what i have. I know this is a alot of questions but sitting over here in Afghansitan makes a fella think alot of the possibilities. Do you think some port matching and polishing would help some too. I am open to any and all advice and willing to do what it takes to get it right.

IMO Switch to the 1.6 roller rockers and due the porting on the heads.
as far as the cam goes, that depends on how much more hp you want to gain.
