What color should i paint my motor?

I was thinking Aluminum color/ Engine Enamel? Just curious has anyone seen this?

Pictures of painted motors would be appreicated!

If that's your motor in the pic i would leave it alone and detail it..Looks good!

Yes thats my motor ... That was about the worst response ur looing at a polsihed ro the core motor in the pic...

The motor was Pontiac Blue but after a full rebuild its readu to be painted..... I dont have time to order pontiac blue or else i would..

You could go to your local paint shop and have them mix up a pint of pontiac blue, or spray can if you don't have a gun. Not the cheapest route, but if you need a certain color in a hurry, 30 minutes or less is pretty quick. I did this for amc blue, still looks great after a year of dd service.

Auto Zone by my place has VHT Dupli color Pontiac Blue for $4.60 a can.
Maybe they will have it in your area also.

Yeah, all the parts stores in my area stock Pontiac blue. My dad just repainted his motor recently..

I prefer black for my engines but for yours I would probably redo the Pontiac Blue or maybe consider a dark blue that matches your ac, steering cover and other accessories. I think aluminum on a block would be same as someone painting cast iron heads aluminum color to give the impression that's what it is.

You could always go with the GM corporate blue that came on these new. Did my T/A motor in it a few years back.
