my '84 grand prix...gbody rust spots....chevy 350 trap for a 87 cutlass 442 stock w/ new paint......



I dont really see anything wrong w/ the trade just wondering if i would be gaining or losing in the swap

i think you would be losing since they dont make pontiac anymore. Maybe thats why they want to trade. I wouldnt do it just for the fact that they stopped making pontiac.

Correct me if I'm wrong but they stopped making olds before pontiacs recent drop. What car do you like better? IMO for a real 442 vs a GP I would say your trading up going to the 442. However, if its just for your personal interest and the cars are in similar shape, decide which one you love better. If you're like me and love all the g-bodies, what one is in better shape and will cost you less in the long run? Just the questions I would be asking myself in my head. I'd sure love to own a real 442. Any more info/pics on the two?

442 won't have a vinyl top and will have an 8.5" rear end (assuming it's all original.) All else sort of equal, that would push me over to the 442.

im really stuck on the fact that ill be taking a step back....but having a cleaner car.....like the idea of having the 350 and the car runs fine its just that the 442 is gonna have a half done interior until i get more money to finish gettin everything put in and this is gonna be my dd
