Once my atv sells, (hopefully soon) I will be immediatly wasting all the 2200 i hope to get from it into my regal, and probably the first thing i will do is get exhaust. I have flowtech afterburner headers, 2.5" inlet flow masters, and im not sure what i want for tips. The guy at the exaust place is giving me a massive break most likely and told my dad 350 for dual exhaust, knock off flowmaster mufflers and tips, i figure since im supplying the mufflers thats less money, and im sure if i supply the tips, the price will be below 300 dollars, But im really not sure what tips i want.

I like the look of the flowtech ones, but they say they drastically quiet the sound, which i dont really want.

Where are the tips going to exit? Behind the tires or under the bumper?
I don't like the first ones, so out of the two I'd vote for the t/a style tips.

I think the T/A style tips would look cool, but if you don't have mudflaps road debris would beat them up and make them look like crap. I like exhaust going straight out under the bumper, but not so sure about those dual tips. In the end it's all up to you and your wallet!

behind the tires. the flowtechs would be slanted toward the corners of the bumpers, and the t/a style would come out directly behind the rear wheel.

what do you recomend then?

In My opinion Straight out pipes Don't suit a Regal.

My GN gets called a Monte Carslow enough :?

I've always been fond of tips like I had on my first El camino.

I can live with those, one of the better ive seen, but I like them offeset, because from working around tow trucks my whole life, ive learned that you cant have a low car and have pipes sticking out the back, it just doesnt work like that. I scrape my tip all the time on my stock ride height 2000 malibu, which has considerably more ground clearence than my regal does now, and im about to buy eibach springs (for handling purposes ultimatley). So i figure if they exit out the side, they wont scrape right?

I had air shocks to help keep the rear up, although the tips did drag a few times. The tips on my Caprice have gotten smashed a number of times pulling into driveways and such... That's why I won't lower my cars. Stock ride height it fine with me.

The T/A style tips are the best bet I'd say, you won't have to worry about them dragging on the ground.

In that case, I don't think you can do much better than a simple 2.5" stainless slash cut pipe. Just like factory style, only a bit bigger. Maybe it's just me, but sometimes the simplest design can be the best.

I also agree, save the rear bumper exit pipes for Chevys and Mustangs. 😉

if i dont like what the exhaust guy has i think im gunna order the pypes one.
