I found a pretty nice 79 with a great factory interior. they are asking 800 for it, I think i may be able to talk em down to 500, but other than the interior, idk if i have much use for the car. it has a running driving pontiac 301 in it, and from the horrible night pics of the car it is navy blue and the body and chrome trim all seem to be there. It looks like a decent car. is there any other parts than the interior compatable with my 83? doors? would the rear end be the same? If I get it is anyone looking for parts for a 79? My freind may want to buy it from me to make a drag car, so if he doesnt want it, and they accept 500-600 for it I may be willing to sell or part out.

front clip is different, doors are different, trim i am not sure about. but the rear end and everything is the same. interior will work.

well I knew the interiors were identical, so i wondered if the doors were the same, I was kinda hoping the rear end was different (better than the one in the 83), but since its not its ok. I am gunna call the owner tommarow and tell her im interested. Im still waiting on my quad to sell, so hopefully soon.

x2, front clip/doors/fenders are different, rear had the same gears as my 85 cutty, 2:14s non posi or something crappy like that. dash should swap looks very similar. lug nuts will not swap!....damn

Most of the mechanical and interior will interchange, but none of the body parts will (save little things like door handles and hardware). If it's a non-vinyl top car I'd be interested in the drip rail and quarter window trim. LMK.

In parts? I don't know, depends how much you can use of it, and how much you can get selling off the rest of the parts. Naturally I'd try and talk him down as much as possible. But I'm definately interested in the drip rail and quarter window trim, if that helps offset the cost at all. Let me know if you end up buying it.

Thanks.

BTW, I like the speakers in the cupholder.

im really not looking to gain any money on this, but I figure once i swap the interioir to my car I will put whats left of my interior in that car and either sell it as a whole, or for parts... really just depends i guess. Im half way considering keeping it because it runs, and i know where i can get a turbo buick hood from for that year lol
