Hi guys,

I am just about done putting my car together, I plan on taking it to the track some time this summer, i wanted to know based on a couple peoples thaughts, what time i can maybe hit in 1/4 mile. I aint looking to hit right on any time, but i mean some type of guess will lead me to build and tune to where it should be. Its an 81 monte carlo with an off stock 350, basic headers, 2 1/2 collectors to rear dumps, th350 trans with stage 1 light shift kit, and 3500 stall converter, and a 7.5 4:10 rearend, i put a sway bar on because i am aware they will help twisting motions. If anyone has any thoughts or questions, please lmk. Thanks

More info on motor, carb etc would help.

The motor was in the car when i bought it, barely anything done to the 350 except for an intake and a carb. I plan on putting my 400 in after i put a bit of money into it. I will get a little bit of info later today

yeah if no weight reduction and those minor mods high 14s maybe mid...sound like a great foundation im doing a 305 build with some bolt ons maybe you can start a thread and show us all your starting point and keep going til u reach your goal! but ill personally keep the 350 in it and build on that! good luck and keep us posted

awesome, thanks for the replies guys. Yep i will keep you guys posted, will upload some pics as soon as i figure out why this site acts up as far as pictures are concerned. Pics will be here soon. I want to keep the 350, but i pulled a 400 sbc out of my 80 malibu that im probably gunna rebuild and throw in. Thanks again.
