For the tilt wheel repair i found the pivot pin removal tool online and ordered 2 of them! They were only $2.99 each So my other question is: What grease do i use to grease up the parts before i put it back together? The grease that the factory used is very thick and sticky and is yellowish in color, what grease would be compatible to this factory grease?

anybody know??

I wouldn't think it would really matter except maybe for smell?! Does the factory stuff smell? Otherwise I'd think any kind of a bearing grease would be fine.

i don't know but this stuff seems thicker than bearing grease, it looks like vaseline almost. I know that this stuff lasted 25 years so i would like to use something of the same.

nice, thanks midwest, good reading on specialty greases! made in my home state too. I know there must be some kind of specialty grease for the moving parts, some electrical, in the steering column, like the turn signal switch, and the small bearings and the springs for the tilt column etc.... thanks for your time.

I think you're on to something here midwestls, thank you for your time. you don't have to look anymore.

Heres a couple more things for ya ^^^^ hope they helped
