what headers to use with sbc in Gbody and manual trans.

I am putting a ZZ4 and manual trans in my Gbody. I am using factory mechanical linkage and bellhousing. What are the best headers to use that will not interfere with linkage. Anybody have this set up and what headers do you have. Any tips or tricks will be appreciated. Thanks.

i have hooker comps in mine everything fit except the z bar i had to bend the end a little

thanks, hows does the rest of the linkage work? No other problems. I am in the process of doing this conversion. auto to manual. I have everything but the clutch fork to finish it..... Cant find one anywhere...

Headers n 4-spd

Use a 3/4 inch socket & strike it with a hammer on the header tube where the z-bar rubs or modify the z-bar ear. Thats it, yer done.....

I used headers by Doug and they fit like a glove no problems.They are full length headers and they fit my angle plug heads. I have a 700r4 trans not a manual though. They are expensive but worth it. This is the first set of headers I didn't have to make fit with a hammer.

which part# Hookers? Ialso need to clear the stock clutch linkage.I need 1.75" primary tubes to let the 408 SB breathe. Dougs bought by Pertronix, cant find anywhere. Lemons wants $1480.00,TOO much. Stainless Works Quotes $2200.00 to proto a set,PHEW. Stahl $980.00 wont guarantee fit.HELP please.
