they made a Buick GS (gran sport) back in the muscle car days but as for a Buick Regal platform, i don't think that's a real "edition" maybe just a "made-up" version

Some guy put some aftermarket parts on that Buick, painted it black, and is pretending that it's something special. Avoid.

Also, the 305 engine. Avoid.

Lots of cheese there, but not a factory performance model. However, there is an off chance that it could have been something neat. The turbo engine was not restricted to any one model, and this car might have had it when new.

Oh, and the code for posi was G80, not G20 (That's an Infiniti...). The code I would look for is G87, which is the 8.5 in rear axle (G89 is the 7.5 suck axle). If it had that when new, it was a turbo car. Another tell tale sign would be the presence of either an electric brake booster or a hydraulic one run off the power steering. The final RPO code I know of that would indicate turbo power is F41. That is the handling suspension option. I do not know the RPO code of the engine though, and that is the most important one.

At any rate, the T Tops, bucket seats, floor shift and upgraded trim make it a nice starting point if it all checks out with respect to rust and accidents. Pay close attention to the roof as T Top cars tend to rot out the roof and the repairs are extensive and expensive.

The Cutlass rims and spoiler are a nice touch. As for it being a "special edition" they should have called it the "Joe Dirt Edition" clearly a redneck job.

Naaah, a real "Joe Dirt Edition" would be a Mopar...

sorry i mean g80 but typed that all on my phone so it was a typo lol... sorry and you think its a bad deal for 300 bucks? w/o motor... who wants a 305 crapp... lol.. had one took it out .... lol... but i have access to like 8 or 9 other parts cars... (friends dad dirt tracks them and saves the goods) but.. thats what i figured that the owner ****ed with it... the guy im buying it from baught it this way and doesnt know a whole lot bout it.. so.. ya makes sh*t interesting.. and plus he is a family friend thats y so cheap 😀

Buick Regal Gran Sport does sound cool tho, you could build upon it, it'd be a one off

Well, for $300 it is worth the risk. The only way it is not is if the roof is rotted out, but even then the parts on the car may have enough value to offset the cost. Like I said, T top bucket seat cars are nice to have and hard to find. Getting the roof to seal out rain water is the biggest issue.
