if anyone could help it'd be greatly appreciated a couple years ago i bought a 83 monte carlo non ss with a 305 it need intake gaskets and head gaskets i had all the parts so when i tore it down i put a summit cam Duration 278/288, Lift .421/.444 lifters double roller timing chain and gears and timing chain cover and bolts weiand intake 8004 every gasket is new new intake manifold bolts oil pan bolts shorty headers new valve covers and air cleaner heres the problem i moved to north carolina i came back up to new york and i finished the car but theres no exhaust whats some good sounding mufflers for cheap i can weld collectors on and bolt up to my headers just for the time being so i dont get pulled for loud exhaust thanks in advance

Glasspacks are always my go to in these situations. I drove mine most of last summer with header mount glasspacks with 18" turn downs. Later on I ran full duels out the back.

There are cheaper alternatives, but I'd still stick with flowmaster 40's. With glass packs once the fiberglass core burns up, it's a straight pipe.

by cheap i mean quite it down enough so i don't get pulled I have been pulled maybe ten times or so for loud exhaust lol i was thinking about going with glass packs just temporary and when i got the car back down there i was gonna go true duals with flowmaster 40s cause a buddy of mine is gonna give me a deal on a set of new flowmaster 40s

Maybe get a set from Rock auto, as they might cheaper than glass packs. Definitely won't be as loud, and since it's only temporary you're not breaking the bank

MAGNAFLOWS! Flowmasters are junk! They rob power due to restriction, they use "chambers" to create "that muscle sound" but you pay the price by loosing power. Get a magnaflow there a low burbble at first and get more aggressive with more rpms. There a straight through design and IMO sound better.
