and are they known to eat cams like my buddys 1980 parisienne it only has 83000 kms and it was driven by an old lady my grandfather inherited it from if that makes a difference i swear i could have raced her on my bicycle

Well, a 4,000 lb car with 2.41 gears and 140hp isn't bound to be all that fast...
As for LG3 and LG4 305's and cams, that problem is more endemic to the bad heat treat GM did to them than it is to the oil used. However, if you want a better oil to keep your slow 305 chugging along, I think Shell Rotella T is the best one for flat tappet cams. Last I heard, it still had ZDDP in it.

Now, the cam problem does NOT apply to L-69 and L-03 305's. Why? Well, the L-69 had a 350 cam in it which did not have the problem, and the L-03 is a roller cam engine. As for TPI 305's, they all either had the L-69 cam or were roller cam engines. ( I also forget their RPO's, so I didn't list them.)

yeah i was told to use that before thanks again
