 what's a good street tire to use.Mickey Thompson 1568 - Mickey Thompson Sportsman I Tires are the tires i have been using.i want a good 10 inch tire i can put on the back.anyone have anything to suggest.

I really like the Mickey Thompson I tread tires....They get hot and turn up the traction................However, I am running the Nitto Extreme Drag Radial 275-60-15. They are badass in the dry or Wet conditions making them the great street rod tire 🙂

I looked in your pics & for a signature. I don't remember what your setup is what kind of power etc. I also don't know what a 1568 is I did not see it on MT's page. Sorry I didn't see a Sportsman I either. You said a good street tire, the Sportsman ST radial looks good is all season and comes in a 295/50/15. I have been a fan of the Firestone Firehawk Indys but they should be comprable. I don't have the prices on the MTs but I would assume the Firestone can be had for less.

Man how were the M/t Sportsman i's? I love the look of them, saw them first in hot rod mag and now i want them bad 😀

Seemed like they are a bit hard to find, or they're just not in demand? i dunno..

You know the internet/computer gets us sometimes. I read it as sportsman one (I) instead of the letter i. I would agree its sounds like the perfect tire for how you are going to use that car. Street tire kind of threw me off also even though you are going to use this tire as a limited use street tire. It fits your build perfectly. You might consider putting at least some key build specs in your signature line. 8)

i first saw these tires years ago when my brother bought a 71 buick with a big block in it.i would say about 20 years ago.really been using them ever since.they grab like crazy on the street and as for the track all you need to do is heat them alittle and they work just fine.i tought maybe there was something new out there someone had.

Something you might want to check out is the Nitto 555 NT Extreme Drag Radial tire. Comes in 295/50/15 and if your wheel wells permit, also in 325/50/15. Looks sick, grips well, does alright in rain and doesn't wear out as fast as other's (but still wears fast).
