Hi all, this is just me introducing myself with a picture of my baby.
View media item 667She's a 85 Monte Carlo with the vicious 4.3 Fuel Injected v6, right now sitting on 86 ss wheels instead of what you see in the pictures. My first car, first project, and hopefully first racecar.

Welcome! I'm a big fan of the V6 cars, everyone writes them off as POS's but they're really great cars. I'd love a fuel injected Monte as a daily driver. My V6 G car was my first car and first project, they're great learning tools. Have fun!

One of the reasons I got a 30 year old car was to learn on. Sadly the v6 is old and struggles to pull the big body around. I think I smell a v8 in the future.

Does it have the overdrive 200-4R and 2.41 axle? That was the standard setup for that motor. If so, that may go some way toward explaining the degree of difficulty in pulling that barge. Which is not to say you don't want a V8 anyway .... just that GM had some [ your term here ] ideas.

yup 200-4R here, hopefully when all is said and done I'll have more power and better mileage to boot. It's almost sad the horsepower coming from this thing considering how heavy the darn thing is.

Hey, Welcome from West Michigan.
