has any1 put wheels from a F body onto a g body vehicle? i have seen it done but i dont know if wheel spacers are needed to prevent the front wheels from rubbing on the liner.
I have 15x7 Pontiac on the front... 16x8 Pontiac (6.50" backspacing with 2" spacers on the rear) Gta's......running 255/50/16 on rear, and 225/60/15 on front...no rubbing issues. I did have to put 1.5" coil spacers on rear, but my rear was sagging waaaay low........
Pix below are before rear coil spring spacers:
After spacers:
and the one as my avatar is with rear spacers. But like I said, fronts were no issue for me.
Many more can help you, if I haven't answered your questions. Due to the offset on the rear FBOdy wheels, some choose to put the rears on the front of the GBody (with spacer for clearance), and the front Fbody wheels on the rear (without spacers, I just happened to have 15s and 16s).
thanks for helping me with this toplc guys. i have an 87 trans am parts car for my Gta notchback i am restoring and dont need the rims so i wanted to use them on my grand prix but didnt want to spend a bunch of money on tires and run into a problem with the front rubbing the inner fender wells. thanks again to every1 who replied.
