you would need spacers to cut the backspacing down to about 4in.

i will be putting 17x8.5 up front and 18x9.5 in back on mine and i have seen larger but 9.5 is REALLY pushing things up front.
 
the wheel spacers you have to use for that deep an offset bolt to the hub and have lugs installed in them. slip on spacers are only safe out to maybe 3/4in. you're looking at 2.5in, probably more. http://www.skulte.com/index.php/cPath/21 these guys are GOOD, but expensive. but it does look like their stuff is a MUCH higher quality and stronger spacer.
 
Wheel spacers over a inch are really unsafe they put more load on your lugs risk of sheering them off is there under hard braking or cornering.Beg steal or borrow a wheelrite its a nice tool lets you see what back spacing wheel size and even tire size will fit your car.Its about 100 bucks to buy but work it to me.
