Went to a junkyard and ask the guy about 15" Wheels for my 84 GP and he found a 78 Bonneville that had 15" Version of the Rally II.

Did not really the Bolt Pattern is slightly larger than my GP's! Is there any way to change over to the Bonneville Bolt Pattern without a large expense? I really like them and it would be nice to have 15" Wheels.

The studs almost fit, so a bad thought creep into my mine about drilling and maybe weld a thin metal on the backside to reinforce the "fix"....

Was the donor car for the rims a station wagon? There are only 2 wheel bolt patterns for the mid and full size rear wheel drive cars of that era. 1 is the popular 5 X 4 3/4" pattern that you have on your GP, and the other is a 5 X 5" bolt pattern. Usually, the full size sedans got the 5 X 4 3/4" bolt pattern, and the station wagons got the 5 X 5" bolt pattern. If you're looking for Pontiac Rally wheels that will fit your GP, try looking for a set of rims from a late '70s to early '80s Firebird. They should fit your GP without any problems.

The donor car was a Sedan. I was considering a brake wheel conversion as well from that car, but the rear swap might be a bit tricky on my low budget considerations....

What parts would be required to make it work properly and would the axles need cut?

There is a brake upgrade in the form of a S10 front spindle & brake assembly available for sale on this forum, if you want to go that route. There are various other options available, including 11" or 12" front brake upgrades available through Hotchkiss, etc. If you're on a budget, and you want tp upgrade to the 15" Pontiac rally wheels, I'd advise you to find a set of rims with the correct bolt pattern for your GP, as opposed to trying to make the incorrect wheels fit the car. Making those wheels fit is likely to cost alot more than finding the correct wheels that will fit the car as it sits right now.

Not to my knowledge, all I have is experience on my side. LOL Here's a rough list to get you started (GM Rear Wheel Drive vehicles):

64-88 Chevelle/Cutlass/Regal/Monte/El Camino/etc.
77-96 Caprice/Impala/LeSabre/etc. (exc. wagon or Police package)
67-92 Camaro/Firebird*
82-2003 2WD S-10/Blazer/S-15/Sonoma/Jimmy*
65-69 Corvair
66-79 Nova/Omega/Ventura/Apollo/Skylark/Phoenix

* 4WD S-10/etc. and 93-2002 Camaro/Firebird wheels have the same bolt pattern, but may require spacers to fit properly without rubbing.

I hope this helps you get started.

I found a nice looking set of s-10 blazer 2wd drive with Five spokes and they look white (not metallic) that caught my eye. The funky ones gave me an idea that will take too much work to "fix" the chevy symbols.

IIRC, mid or late 80's Firebirds had 15 in Rally II's painted reverse of the older ones ( mostly silver with dark spokes) and should be a fairly easy find. Look at base model cars as they are the ones I remember seeing them on. They have a black center cap on them that you can probably change out for the more correct PMD or Pontiac arrow ones from an earlier car.
