What kind of wheels and tires are people running on their cars? What size in the front and what size in the back? and what kind of tire brand do people use? BTW I have an 85 Monte SS- Naturally
The most common or numerous would still be the stock 14x6 wheels or ralleys. Most common tire for them 215/70/14 all the way around. The second most common would be a 15x7 ralley followed by a 15x7 aftermarket. At least these are my observations. Most common tire size for the 15s would either be 215/65/15 or 235/60/15 again all the way around. If you look at just the back tires on the 15s probably 255/60/15s.
I run 16x8 in wheels with a 4 in backspacing. I currently have 225 50 16's front and 225 60 16's rear, but that is only because they were the only used tires I could find at the time to get it rolling again. I used to have 245 50 16's on all 4, and may go back to them again if I do not get new 17 in wheels and tires instead.
Oh, and the car came with 195 75 R14 white walls on 14x6 rims originally. It looked like *ss with wheels that narrow.

I'm running Eagle Alloy wheels all the way round. They are 15 X 7 wheels with a 4 inch backspace all the way round. I'm running 255 x 60 x 15 BF Goodrich Radial T/A tires in rear and the smallest and most narrow BF Goodrich tire that would fit a 7 inch wide x 15 wheel in the front.
