Hi folks, I just bought a 1981 buick regal body and I'm going to fix it up for my oldest boy. This kid with his younger bother loves the drag racing. What back spacing to use with a weld drag star. I want the wheel to fit under the car. 15" Front and rear sizes would help. Also the car has a 7.5 in it now but I will have a 9" in it before long with the stock length. ANY PICS WOULD BE A HELP ALSO

Rear 15x7 3.75" BS, 15x8 4"BS. Not sure what size you want up front for drags, 5" wide in your plans or 7"?

I'd go with 15"x7" front and 15"x8" rear. You can get yourself a set of street slicks and traction wont be an issue. I'd wait till you get that 7.5 out of there first... But 4" backspacing should be perfect, thats what I have on mine and I dont have any issues at all! As far as tires I'd get a set of 275/50R15's for the rear, a taller tire will hookup and give it a meaty stance; for the front its up to you. Anywhere from 195-255 will mount on a 7" rim so you have a lot to choose from.

thanks guys

I would still love to see some pics with some fat meats under the rear.

Heres some 275/60s.
