where are engines numbers on pontiac olds

look in front of the intake, above the water pump where the timing cover meets the block..... should see a 7 digit number with a dash near the end.
my block is a 395558-2, typical 69-72 olds 350 block casting #
 
just took a pic of the engine

it looks like a 307

what do you guys think

It's definitely an Olds engine but to find out which one you can:

1) Look at the number on the timing shelf between the oil fill tube and oil pressure sender;
2) Look at the number on driver's side head at the front lower corner (would be 5A or 7A if it's a 307); or
3) Look at the side of the block above the motor mount. I know the 403 engine's would have 403 cast into the block but can't remember if the 307 actually said 307 or if it was just a generic 5.0L on the side.
