Does anyone know where I can find the tool to measure choke plate angle, for adjusting the vacuum breaks on a Q-jet? Looks like a degree scale with a small bubble level on it, and a magnet for attaching it to the carb. I would much rather spend money on something I'm probably only going to use once, than spend 5 times as much paying someone else to do it. Thanks.

Mine is a Thexton. I got it off one of the tool trucks. I don't normally use it my own Q-jets. After 30 years of Rochester tinkering, here are my guidelines: 1) Carefully drill out the rivets and tap for 8-32 machine screws. 2) adjust the choke blade so it's just barely closed at 60-70 degrees ambient temp. 3) Set the primary break to open 1/8", secondary at 1/4" using a drill bit as a gage. Adjust in small increments from there depending on the behavior. Works for me in PA all year 'round.

I got two off of Ebay for cheap. One is an OTC, one is a Burroughs.
