thats the problem, i like a lot of different makes and models, but only specific years. I wanted to see how cheap i could get a project.

basically all the private party cars on ebay are pieces of sh*t or projects except for the 'pimp my ride' and 'this car used to belong to the president' and collectors muscle cars on there. Just check off 'private party' only option on the search bar and set the maximum price to under $5,000. Most people are asking too much, but I just saw a cutlass go off for $800 and it just needed some minor body work. I saw a couple blazers go for $1200 and $1400 too, a couple going for under a grand still on there r now as a matter of fact. BMW 318 w/ no interior was on there for $1,000 for a second and nobody bit either

Ya gotta get out there and do the footwork bro! Your best bet is find a local owner that doesn't care about it. Take a drive through rural areas, BS with people in auto parts stores, junkyards, etc and network. You can find a lot of leads through word of mouth.

As for looking online, craigslist is about the best it's going to get since advertising is free. I use this site a lot since it lets me search multiple cities for CL www.craigzoom.com

I think there's also applications that lets you set up search parameters & notifications if you have an iPhone or Android too. I don't have a need for all that "modern technology" in a phone so I can't elaborate much

G body vet is right. Ask around. Somebody out there just might have a buddy, who's uncle's brother's son in law, has one he bought as a project and gave up on, and is now tired of looking at it.

I found out about my car by just talkin with other car guys and one day someone stopped into work and told me about it. I went and looked and to my suprise it was a v8, t-top/bucket seat car. Wich is exactly what I wanted for $300 bucks. It needs work. But I also found another cutlass with a wanted ad on a local bulletin board.
