Does anyone know of any websites where you can purchase a 2004r for a cutlass supreme? Also are the 2004r transmissions seperate for olds/chevy/pontiac/buick?

I am pretty sure that most, if not all, 200-4R transmissions are dual bolt pattern which will work on BOP and Chevy engines.

Off the top of my head there is bowtieoverdrives.com and ckperformance.com

there are some cadillac only -r4's and some of the first years were BOP only. but the majority were chevy and BOP.
what kind of power/usage do you have/plan on?

Its just for a built up 307 that is a 1986 442 engine in a 1987 supreme. I want overdrive in it because right now I have a metric 200 that is probably on its way out soon. Its only going to be used as a daily driver and not going to be taking on too much power out of the 307. I just want a better trans with overdrive.

Huh? What RWD Caddy engine used a bolt pattern that wasn't BOP? I've seen the BOP-only 200-4R case. I've been told that there is a rare Chevy-only 200-4R case, but I've never seen one. You're saying there's a fourth type of case? Frankly, most RWD Cadillacs built between 1980 and 1990 used the Olds 307 anyway. The HT4100 was used in RWD applicatiions, but these used the BOP bellhousing pattern.

i may be wrong. i know i heard that there was a caddy specific 200, but as i'm researching now i only see BOP bolt pattern.
neeeever mind!

So if I order a trans from bowtieoverdrives it will be compatable with my Olds 307?

I am thinking there is a 99.99% chance of it being the right one, but it doesn't hurt to tell them what engine it is going on so they know for sure.
