I have A 79 Elcamino that is in the process of getting painted, I want to spray on a bed liner but wanted to get feedback on the different products out there. If possible tell me the brands & show pictures of the results.

Google it and you will find more information than you really wanted. Apparently they are not all created the same, after reading reviews from people who actually used the coatings. If it is just for looks there is no problem, however if you use your bed for hauling most of the coatings fail due to use or poor preparation/application. I am still pondering a choice and may just go black paint and a piece of plywood for now. A lot of these involve serious money(at least to me) and can be worse than nothing if they peal, damage easy etc.Apparently even warranties are not a guarantee of your satisfaction.

From what I've seen nothing really beats line-x. It seems to hold up well to the sun/uv rays. You may want to ask elco-warren, i'm pretty sure he has some videos on his el camino of some of the do it yourself ones(rhino and duplicolor). I used a spray on liner called scorpion for the underside and inside of my car. It looks like it will hold up better, but the consistancy isn't quite as nice as line-x. A lot of it depends on if you are going to do it yoursself or have it done. I've heard great things about raptor u-pol. That is a do it yourself kit, and it looks like it turns out great.

Use raptor liner. Best stuff money can buy. It's what we use at work (body shop). We have never had one complaint or customer return about it. Extremely durable, and it is tintable, so you can make it any color you want. My friend has it on his 86 ford f250 dually and tinted it to match the basecoat, which is candy apple red. Great product.

If you're going for durability, get it professionally done. I've used raptor several times and although it looks really nice it will not hold up to the abuse of a truck bed that gets used hard. That said, Raptor is still a great product and it's what I used on the entire underside of my Firebird.
