Just like the title says im hopin for some help. First startup in the morning or after work its perfect clear no smoke. But if i go to the store or somthin then get back in the car after about 10 minutes start it then a white cloud puffs out both pipes and its really embarrassing. The 350 dont even have 10,000 miles on build runs perfect doesnt misfire power is great as always. Now i used to have a Q jet and with it id have to hold it to the floor like it was flooded to start it again. I now have an edelbrock with a plastic spacer underneath to help with heat. Now it starts with no pedal but still has that white cloud but then clears right up. Oil is clear. Coolant is green. Spark plugs are always a pretty brown color. Compression is over 100 on all cylinders. If any more info is needed just ask cuz i cant think of anything else lol. And like i said it only does this on hot start up not cold. Thanks guys. 🙂

I did some Googling on it because I was curious. Came up with this. It should get you on the right track.

Sorry man, I'm 33 and I've never owned a carbureted car, 10 cars and counting. But it does seem like something in that carb is dumping fuel in when you shut it off warm. Like you said oil is clean, coolant is green, plugs are good. My advice, check everything again. Don't be stubborn and assume you did it all right. If the problem is still there, it can be fixed.

does the car get driven daily? any chance your valve stem seals are in need of replacement? slight amount of oil that seeps into chambers and burns white smoke upon start up. Check them out!

Any chance you might have a head gasket gone bad? Ive been doing a little searching around for information with regards to your issue, seems the white smoke or sometimes blue/grayish/-white smoke is a result of water vapor in the combustion chambers which is the result a of a bad head gasket. Notice any coolant levels getting low?

Yea I do think fuel is dripping in the carb somewhere I'll triple check it as soon as I get home.

And no like I said fluids are fine coolant is full and green it never uses any. I don't drive the car daily
I was driving it to work cuz I had the tires on my corsica go flat I drove over some nails

Thanks for the help guys I really appriciate it.

I'm sorry guys I know I said id check but we've litterly had rain for days

So I was thinking could vapor lock or no pcv cause this problem?

I backed off fuel pressure from 5.5 to 5 psi just to play with it but i dont know if its fixed or not because its not getting over 80 degrees outside anymore

I have white smoke on startup due to bad valve seals, good time for a hi-po top end build

lol as fun as that sounds this motor is still new. and only does it when its almost 100 degrees outside on hot start.
