I'm running 15xx7" TORQ THRUST (black) Rims on a 1986 El Camino currently have 205/70/r15. Want to go to 60/r15" tires but don't know how wide I can go on 7" wide rims and not rub.

Richard

235/60 is a safe size as far as rubbing is concerned if you are doing all 4 tires.

i had 245/60 15s fit on stock monte ss alum rims 255s prolly tops you can go on rear with 7s. front 245s may rub depending on BS, i have 245/50 17s all 4 with 8x17 rims 3.5" BS and rubbed in front plastic wells but had em pushed back and rubs stopped. note my 245s are 26.6" OD which is same for 245 60 15s.
