The factory size is 215/65/15. I'm thinking about buying Goodyear Eagle GT II's

I wish they still made the Eagle ST Goodyears....they were a good tire and not too expensive. What do these cost mounted and balanced?

The 235/60 X15 is a good replacement size for the 215/65 X 15. It's slightly wider and a fraction taller. 26" vs 26.2" or something in that order.

Most tire manufacturers show the same height for both tires either 26.0 or 26.1. Just a little beefier and not quite as wimpy looking as the 215. They work up front as well if you want to run the same size all the way around.

I have 235/60/15 Goodyear GTII's on mine. Check out my photos for size. They DO NOT RUB AT ALL!! Perfect size!

I run 235/60R15 up front on my 442... Due to the header tubes wrapping around the frame rail, I plan on going back to the stock 215/65 when I have the $$ for new ones. The rears are 255/60R15.

I think 235/60/15's are the perfect size that the factory SHOULD have put on these cars. Wider than that and you have to start thinking of hydroplaning and rubbing issues. Though, I will admit the 215's do throw less gravel down the side of your car.

Here's all the tire/outside view related pictures of my current car with those tires on it that i had handy:
