I am thinking about changing from a 255 60 R15 to a 275 60 15 on the rear of my 1979 Monte. After I put the complete Hotchkiss suspension system on it, the car sits a bit low in the rear. The 275s get me from 27.1 to 28 inches high. Also, I gain .7 inch in footprint. Anybody put a 275 60 15 on a 3rd gen Monte or something close? Pictures? Clearance issues? Thanks!! 😀

yes they will fit. i have them on an 84 SS. check my album, there should be some pics in there i think.

Yeah, they'll fit. A friend of mine has a set of Drag Slick Hoosier's that size on his Malibu and he said that it has a made a world of difference in is hookup. He actually tore up his transmission during a few burnouts, his transmission wasn't in the best of shape but still the extra traction sure will make you act a hella of lot different in your car.
