will riping out my computer affect my guages

The computer's engine management wiring should be seperate from the car's regular wiring. I yanked it out of my 81' Malibu and my 83' Bonneville and the computer had no affect on the gauges at all. Only irritating thing was the "check engine" light stayed on until I yanked the bulb.

if i tear out my computer along with the harness would my guages still work properlly because i want to install the rally guages

The gauges use completely separate senders and wiring from the ECU. That's why there are two coolant temp senders, for example. The gauge wiring is in the engine harness that passes through the bulkhead connector under the brake booster. The ECU wiring is a completely separate harness that passes through a grommet below the HVAC box on the passenger side of the firewall.

just make sure u dont have a computor controlled distributor

Right. If your pulling out the computer you also need a non-CCC carb and a non-CCC distributor. Other wise it just won't run properly.
And if you want to keep your torque converter lockup control, you'll need to wire in a switch or buy an aftermarket setup to control it.

I'm guessing he's US Air Force. If so, my sympathies go out to him and all personell that can't be home for the Holidays.

Greetings Marine. They won't ship your POV to Okinawa? Cheap bastards. They shipped my motorcycle to Germany.
