Will this shifter work on my Monte?

An 88 Monte with a 305 and a 200r4 i believe. It has overdrive.

If its an overdrive capable shifter, then it will work.

It says it only works with three speed trans. So I would guess not with the overdrive.

Do you mean the shifter/console? If so, it would be easier. I dont know what you are using for a console but you would need the whole console and shifter assembly from the ss to make it all bolt right in. The aftermarket ones usually require some kind of modification to make fit.
