Working with a 1986 Regal Limited with manual windows...
The window crank on the driver's side had recently started to have play in and out towards the gear. I don't have the slightest clue why, there's only so many parts there.
I've seen GM "window crank handle springs" for sale, but I think these are for earlier vehicles. Perhaps something like this would help if added somehow (if even possible)?
I'd like to tighten these up anyway. They just kind of flop around. And of course GM no longer offers replacement handles even though they were installed on 5 billion cars, 10 billion if you include the earlier clear knob ones. I actually had a brand new Dorman handle strip itself instantly on the regulator gear because the metal was so soft.
