So I bought new motors for the power windows on my 80 Gp. And had it in the shop to have them swap them out, and they said that the regulators need some additional plastic parts, not just the rollers..which I can get pretty readily. Does anyone know as to where I may find either reman regulators, or a rebuild kits for my current regulators?? The windows as it is only go up 3 inches or all the way or down 3 inches. No less no more. So they work, but only in that limited capacity. And I live in Phx Az and Ac not working either, so somewhat important with Summer coming around the corner!! Any help is appreciated!

Mike,

I think Dorman Products has the rollers available to rebuild the regulators but I'm not sure of the overall value unless the parts is minimal. You can buy a good used one on eBay for cheap and probably get some for even less on this site through the wanted section.

Here's one I found when looking a minute ago. ...

Awesome thank you. I found the rollers, but I also need the window track and guide the one that holds the window in place and to keep it from moving forward and backword in the door, and the track that runs from the top to bottom of the door to keep the window on track while going up and down. The mechanic circled the parts he said that I need off of the window diagrams, and he gave me the schematic numbers, but GM doesnt make them and I cant find them so I need all the plastice parts for the window assembly pretty much, but the regulators work fine. Which is weird because the windows go up and down like 3-4 inches and make a grinding sound indicative to the wiondow motor gears being shot, but have no issues other wise, so I'll have to check myelf.. If you have any insight I would appreciate it! And thank you again for pointing me in the right direction for the regulators!!!!
