I know this is the wrong section, but the wagon folks will see this quicker. My passenger side vent/wing window has seperated at the lower pivot. I would try to tig it up, but if I break the window, then I'm out a window with no replacement. Do any of you guys have a passenger side window, with the frame in good shape and are you willing to part with it. If you use PayPal, it would be easier.
Thank You
Matt.

i had to bust mine when i lost the keys, thinking it would be easier to replace (stupid mistake)
so gotta find a PS window too. Last time i went to my previous local pull-a-part, they had several sedans with all the windows. Seems the sedans and wagons were picked off way less than any coupes

I have a "power" set(l&r) with all nessary wiring and control bezel for a 86 cut(sedan)I don't think they would fit a wagon though? 75.00 shipped on these, pm me if interested.

does anyone know how to actually remove the vent window?
I took off the door panel and was starting to work on it before it got dark, and i really couldn't figure it out
Do i need to completely disassemble the whole door insides? (like remove the stationary window, etc?)
any help is appreciated, I would like to get this little project out of the way as soon as possible

You must drop the stationary window first in order to remove the vent window assembly.
If you look around the perimeter of the window frame, you'll see screws every couple of inches holding the vent window frame. It's been a while since I've taken one apart. They're not difficult at all.

Sedan vent windows are shaped slightly different than a wagon. Guys have made that mistake over time. Wagons are specific to wagons.

So pull the glass from the frame and TIG it, then reset the glass

After removing the fixed window, there will be 1 screw on the door frame at the top, 2 on the rear, and 1 in the run channel at the belt molding. You will need to pull the rubber from the channel to access the screw.

Wagon glass/frame is different than sedan. Wagon on left, sedan on rt

I agree about TIG-ing the pivot rod. Just need to make sure the angle is correct...maybe place it in sort of a jig.

Here's a shot in the dark for you, GM part# 20053936 is described as a bright manual vent window pivot channel (thanks for the book gm, lol). I think this may be what you're looking for, there is one dealer in the country that shows availability. Looked up an 82 malibu wagon for the number.

No price listed but I'm sure they'd love to get rid of it  , call em up and have them send you a picture to make sure it's right. This does not include the glass, but they're not hard to swap over, I had to do the same to my malibu 4 door, I also was lucky to find a dealer with one on the shelf  .

TC1959 is in that neck of the woods. He might even know the parts people at the dealership. Definitely worth a shot.
